Your screenshots are yours. Here's exactly what we see.

• Your screenshot library lives on your PC, in a local SQLite database. We do not host it and cannot browse it.
• When a new capture is analyzed, it is sent over an encrypted connection, processed to generate its memory (title, description, tags, category), and the result is returned to your device. We do not keep copies of your screenshots after analysis completes.
• We store the minimum needed to run your account: email, name, plan, and a counter of how many screenshots you've indexed.
• We never sell your data. There are no ads and no third-party trackers on our site or in the app.

Account data. When you create an account we store your email address, your name (if you provide one or sign in with Google), and a hashed authentication credential. This is handled by Supabase, our authentication and database provider.

Google sign-in. If you use “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name, email, and profile photo with us. We use them only to create and display your account. We never see your Google password.

Usage counters. We track how many screenshots your account has indexed so we can enforce plan limits (200 on Free, 3,000 on Pro). This is a number, not the content of your screenshots.

Payments. Pro subscriptions are processed by Dodo Payments. Your card number never touches our servers. We receive your plan status and billing events so your account unlocks correctly.

Waitlist. If you join the macOS waitlist we store your email for one purpose: sending you the download link when the Mac app ships. The list is write-only from the website — it cannot be read back through our public API.

When you capture a screenshot, the SnapSaw app on your PC sends the image over TLS to our analysis endpoint. The AI generates a title, description, tags, and a category, and returns them to your device. The image and its generated memory are then written to the SQLite database on your own machine. The server-side copy used for analysis is discarded — analysis is a pass-through, not storage.

Search happens locally. When you type a query, SnapSaw searches the index on your PC. Your queries are not sent to us.

• Sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers.
• Build advertising profiles or embed third-party trackers.
• Read, mine, or train models on your screenshot library.
• Email you marketing without an unsubscribe link.

• Export or delete your library anytime — it's a file on your PC. Uninstalling SnapSaw leaves it in place; deleting it removes it completely.
• Delete your account by emailing hello@snapsaw.com. We remove your profile, usage counters, and waitlist entry within 30 days.
• Cancel Pro from your dashboard. Your local library is untouched; only the plan limits change.

Supabase (authentication, account database), Dodo Payments (billing), and our AI analysis provider (screenshot processing at capture time). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
